IPhone 13 Pro Max vs Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra: Which 2023 Flagship Phone Is for You?

The next generation of smartphones has been slowly trickling out and the latest two models to be announced are the Samsung Galaxy S21 and the Apple iPhone 13 Pro Max. These two phones are going to represent the best in 2021 technology and which one you choose may depend on your preferences and budget. Both companies have their own strengths, but there is only one question 3that you need to ask yourself – iPhone 13 Pro Max vs Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra: which 2021 flagship phone is for you?

What to look forward to

Apple’s new iPhone, tentatively known as iPhone 13, is set to be a groundbreaking phone in 2021. It is expected to have a 120-degree field of view and a quad camera configuration. Many other features are still being kept secret by Apple, but experts speculate that it will be more powerful than any mobile device ever created. Meanwhile, Samsung’s Galaxy line has consistently been seen as one of Apple’s biggest competitors over the years—and its first S series phone in 2021 will be no different. Rumors say that Samsung may incorporate a flexible screen into its next flagship phone, making it possible to fold your screen around like a book cover. The foldable display could also potentially allow you to use your phone while wearing gloves or mittens during winter months. Although both phones are promising, they each come with their own pros and cons when compared side by side. Let’s take a look at what each company brings to the table with their latest devices so you can decide which is best for you!

The display is awesome

Where other phones in 2021 are touting 8K displays, iPhone 13 Pro Max is packing a 12K display. That’s right—the pixels are so small, you can’t even see them with your naked eye. The only way to appreciate how well it works is to use one yourself. And believe us, if you do, you’ll be thankful that Apple kept things sane and kept it at 12 inches as opposed to something even bigger. We don’t know about you, but we found holding an iPad in landscape mode could get pretty tiring on our necks and arms when watching a movie or browsing websites. The phone’s battery life is also second to none:

This thing will last you days without charging thanks to its massive 5,000 mAh battery. No matter how much you play games, stream videos and music, or browse social media apps like Facebook and Twitter—it won’t run out of juice. It also supports wireless charging (Qi standard) so if you have a compatible charger lying around from another device (like an Android smartphone), just drop it on top of your phone and let it charge away wirelessly. Wireless charging does take longer than wired charging though; expect about 4 hours for every hour of charge time using wireless versus 2 hours via cable.

Other features are great

The iPhone 13 Pro Max and Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra are both great phones. But there’s a reason you would want to buy one over another (despite their very similar name). Let’s break it down. And make sure to check out our comparisons of other 2021 flagships! They’re all at least as awesome as these two, so don’t worry if you don’t like either of these ones. Battery life could be better

Phones have evolved considerably over the last decade, but one thing that hasn’t changed is battery life. Long-lasting batteries are still a challenge for many manufacturers, and thus, all of our phones tend to run out of juice at about the same time — after about five hours or so. If you want your phone to last longer than that and don’t mind sacrificing design aesthetics, check out The Mophie Juice Pack . It might not be pretty, but it will help you get through a full workday without needing to plug your phone into a charger. For those who want something sleeker looking, look no further than Anker PowerCore II Slim 5000mAh Portable Charger . While it doesn’t come with a case like other portable chargers on the market, its slim profile means you can slip it into your pocket or purse easily enough. And if that wasn’t enough power for you, Anker also sells larger capacity versions of its PowerCore II line. Both should keep any iPhone running throughout an entire day even under heavy use. We haven’t included cases in our roundup because we think most people already have their favorite iPhone case by now.

The other side of the story

While IPhone is going bigger, Samsung wants to deliver value. In truth, neither side is really wrong here, but consumers are left with a decision that’s less about benefits and more about personal preference. The Iphone might cost a bit more up-front but has a reputation for having fewer serious problems and requires less maintenance. The trade-off, however, is having to deal with clunky virtual assistant software like Siri that isn’t as capable as alternatives from Google or Amazon—and will be even less capable if Apple buys out companies using its A.I.-based competitor to Siri called Viv Labs. If you want to save money, you can buy a Galaxy phone and still get great performance. But then again, it may not last as long without regular updates and could end up costing you more in repairs down the road. It all comes down to what your preferences are; just make sure you know what they are before making your decision!
