The Best Noise-Cancelling True Wireless Earbuds: Sony LinkBuds Review
Sony’s latest true wireless earbuds, the Sony LinkBuds, are the best in the business. These buds offer superb battery life, sound quality, and comfort that rivals that of the top true wireless earbuds on the market today. If you want wireless earbuds but don’t want to compromise on quality or features, then you should consider getting Sony LinkBuds. In this review, we’ll take a look at all the things you should know before buying them and offer our honest thoughts on whether they’re right for your needs.
What Are They
These are very similar to AirPods. However, unlike Apple’s wireless earbuds, these offer a much more secure fit and better sound quality. In fact, if you want true wireless in-ear headphones with ANC (Active Noise Cancellation), it’s hard to find a better pair. As such, they get our pick for best true wireless earphones of 2019.
How Do They Work
The most noticeable feature of Sony’s LinkBuds is their futuristic and techy design, but there are a lot of interesting features that make them unique. They’re truly wireless earbuds, meaning they connect directly to your phone via Bluetooth; they don’t use any cables, so you don’t need an adapter or anything else to listen to music. The buds themselves are small enough that even people with smaller ears can wear them comfortably. In terms of sound quality, I was impressed by how much bass they were able to put out without distorting at higher volumes. The battery life on these is also pretty impressive; I’ve been using them for almost two weeks now and haven’t had to charge them once yet. If you’re looking for a pair of true wireless earbuds that are high quality, look no further than Sony’s LinkBuds.
Battery Life
If you’re looking for a pair of true wireless earbuds that can hold up to an entire day of use and beyond, then Sony’s 2018 entry is one to consider. The charging case has a battery life of up to nine hours before it needs recharging. In fact, they only take an hour or so to charge back up again. That means users can switch out after five or six sessions without worrying about having to wait too long before they get their next fix.
While these are not quite as good as some of its rivals when it comes to battery life, they still offer more than enough juice for most people. It’s also worth noting that these buds have been designed with noise cancellation in mind. They will block out almost all ambient noise while music is playing—even on public transport! While there are better options on the market if noise canceling is your main concern (such as Bose), these will certainly do well in terms of blocking out background noises while listening to tunes.
Price Point
Premium ($200) — However, I’d argue that these are worth every penny. The battery life is great for a truly wireless earphone, and it comes with an excellent charging case. Not to mention that there’s also built-in noise cancellation! These buds can be used at any time and will connect with your smart device easily, making them a worthy investment. You can learn more about how they sound in my full review here. For now, though, let’s just say you won’t be disappointed if you go out and purchase a pair of Sony LinkBuds.
It might take you some time to get used to them (as true wireless buds do), but once you get acclimated, these will become one of your favorite accessories. Plus—if you already own a pair of wired headphones—you can just buy a set of replacement ear tips (about $15 on Amazon). 2.
